I am a technology-focused creative director with over 20 years of experience in the design industry. At InMobi, a global powerhouse in mobile advertising, I led a diverse team of art directors and creative developers who produced innovative rich media ads for leading brands and agencies. I've created many first-to-market mobile ad experiences, from playables to interactive video, and I continue to expand creatively as new technology emerges.

More About Me

Like many creatives, I’ve loved making art from as early as I can remember. My mom says I snuck crayons into my crib and drew on the walls when she wasn’t around. It apparently took her several days to find them hidden under my mattress.

The beginning of my path as a graphic designer began when I was an Intelligence Analyst in the Air Force in 1996. That experience taught me the necessity of clear and precise communication, which has served me tremendously in my career as a designer. My love of design, combined with a passion for technology, has led me on a course to become an interactive designer creating engaging digital experiences that connect brands with their target audiences.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy every aspect of computers, from building them, to content creation and streaming, and of course gaming. My current setup is an Alienware gaming laptop with a Cintiq 27QHD tablet display. In addition to a Macbook Pro, another Alienware, a Surface Book 2, an UNRAID server, and two self-made gaming PCs. And two iPad pros.

Other supremely nerdy hobbies include hoarding technology, HAM radio operation, Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games, 3D printing (in support of my role-playing hobby), miniature painting, and Jeeping.

Oh, and I’m also a comic book nerd (obviously). My favorite artists are Frank Cho, John Byrne, Arthur Adams, Simon Bisley, Sam Kieth, Kim Jung Gi, Chris Stevens, Jeff Smith, and Jim Lee.

I love classic illustrators such as Franklin Booth, Gustav Doré, Norman Rockwell, Kay Nielsen, Arthur Rackham, Alphonse Mucha, and Frank Frazetta.

My favorite painters include Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, JW Waterhouse, Andrew Wyeth, John Singer Sargent, Chuck Close, Gerhard Richter, among many others.
