“ONE HARD TACO”

This digital illustration, painted in Photoshop with a Wacom Cintiq tablet display, was commissioned by a Twitch user and friend known as NOTanotherTACO, fellow moderator for our favorite DayZ streamer Puhdado. The taco character is, of course, based on his username, and carries two weapons commonly used in the video game DayZ. The background is a screenshot from the game, meant to immediately connect the image to the game for DayZ players. I added myself as a dead zombie in the foreground as an inside joke for my buddy.

This was at that ugly stage of nearly every illustration that makes you completely doubt yourself as an artist and want to give up, but if you push through you are usually rewarded with a piece that makes you stop and go “Daaaamn! I made that!”
